What to Expect...
Aftercare & Recovery
Most extractions heal within 7–10 days. We’ll send you home with detailed instructions for how to care for the area and what to avoid — such as drinking through a straw or smoking — to help prevent dry socket and encourage healing. Our team is always available if you have questions or concerns after your procedure.
WHY MIGHT A TOOTH NEED TO BE REMOVED?
There are several common reasons for a tooth extraction, including:

-
Severe decay or infection
-
Broken or damaged teeth beyond repair
-
Overcrowding before orthodontic treatment
-
Stubborn baby teeth
-
Impacted or problematic wisdom teeth
No matter the reason, we will take time to evaluate your specific needs and explain every step of the process before moving forward.

FAQ
How long does it take to heal after a tooth extraction?
Mild soreness usually subsides within 2–3 days, with full healing in about a week. Follow-up care helps prevent complications.
Will I be in pain?
Some discomfort is normal, but we’ll provide pain relief options and recommend at-home care to minimize soreness.
Can I return to work the same day?
Depending on the type of extraction and whether sedation is used, you may want to rest for the remainder of the day.
Do I need to replace the missing tooth?
In some cases, replacing an extracted tooth helps maintain alignment and function. We’re happy to talk with you about bridges, implants, or dentures if needed.
